Re:Frame with Nicolas Abtan

Samsung’s The Frame transforms any space into a gallery through immersive 4K QLED technology. With the Art Mode feature, users can display their favourite pieces of art with lifelike clarity and Pantone validated colours. And The Frame’s frame changes too: Users can easily swap out the frame bezels to change the look anytime.

While most art is locked in time, frozen on a wall in its unchanging frame, The Frame is fluid and adaptable, to your mood or the season. We took this inspiration and partnered with Canadian Acrylic Artist Nicolas Abtan to invite Canadians to experience how technology transforms art into a new, accessible dimension. Abtan’s technique and style uses acrylic paint to create 3D paintings that defy convention.

At a temporary art gallery at Toronto’s The Well, art lovers met Abtan while experiencing his dynamic 3D art creations, brought to life on The Frame. Hundreds of attendees and passers-by were wowed by Abtan’s art and the ability of The Frame to be indistinguishable from real paintings on canvas.
